Gary was named North Augusta Citizen of the Year in 1999 and in 2009, on the occasion of his 20th Anniversary as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church, North Augusta, he was awarded The Order of the Palmetto, by Governor Mark Sanford, the state’s highest civilian honor. They have two children: Finn (age 2 1/2) and Isla Kate (age 6 months). Jennifer is a Public Relations Consultant with the Allison & Partners, Atlanta, GA, and Rusty is a Consultant with Towers Watson, Inc., also in Atlanta. Jennifer is a graduate of Duke University (B.A., Public Policy) and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (M.A., Health Care Administration). They have three sons: Brayden (age 8), Benjamin (age 7), and Barrett (age 4). Melissa is an English teacher at Kennedy Middle School, Aiken, South Carolina. Melissa is a graduate of Furman University (B.A., English) and Augusta State University(M.A, Education Administration), and is married to Ryan, a Financial Adviser with Edward Jones, Inc. They have two daughters, Melissa Tripp and Jennifer Wilson. Stetson University, and Chairman of the English Department, North Augusta Senior High School.

Business, By the Book will resume on September 1, 2011, in a newly-formed partnership between Dr. He is recognized as a dynamic motivational speaker and in 1989, founded Business, By the Book, a monthly luncheon for business and civic leaders across the Central Savannah River Area (i.e., Augusta, GA metro area). Gary is a gifted preacher and a seasoned Pastor. Redding served the First Baptist Church, North Augusta, SC, for more than 22 years, longer than any other Pastor in the church’s 110 year history.
